This Learning Toolkit outlines the key steps to doing a waste audit for organic waste. It draws on a project in the city of Durban where we weighed, sorted and categorised waste from the fresh fruit and vegetable market in the inner-city. Diverting organic waste from landfill significantly reduces methane.
