Climate change affects us all. But there are actions that cities can do to lessen these negative impacts. Diverting organic waste from landfill is one key action. Closing local loops in our organic waste management contributes to a better future. This video highlights a zero waste pilot partnership project in the city of Durban, South Africa. Making compost from organic waste reduces harmful methane gases and creates rich nutrients for our soils. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain by starting to divert organic waste from landfills.
